Caring, Friendly and Safe…
Thank you to Art Harry for teaching our students how to draw and carve aboriginal art.
Thank you to Ms Lapp, Ms Jaime and Ms Lydia for heading up the drumming group. The students will be learning songs for a performance at Totem Hall on June 15th at the Connecting Mountain Sharing Wisdom Medicine Wheel Workshop.
Congratulations to Chloe Young for being chosen to be the Deputy Mayor of Squamish today.
Kate O’Connor, the public health nurse for our school, is starting to plan for the BOKS before-school activity program for next year. We would appreciate any feedback on the program in the on-line survey from the staff and parents: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GFQP5HP
Bike to Work Week
Bike to School Week kicks off Monday, running from May 28th – June 3rd! Riding to school builds physical activity into kids’ daily routine, supports in-class concentration, and provides a foundation for healthy lifestyles and lifelong love of cycling. Plus, it’s a lot of fun! Make sure your child is familiar with their best route to school, try exploring the route before-hand, and talk to your neighbours and friends about organizing a Bike Train to encourage more participation in a safe and fun way. We will be keeping track of all kids biking to school for the week.

A Wish for Muriel
To help her with her post-surgery treatment and recovery, we are asking the staff and families if they would like to send something for her to comfort her during this difficult time. Simple things like; socks, slippers, books, magazine, candles, candy, mints, soft blankets, lotion, cards, cookies, really anything that would help her to feel love and support from us. Please bring the items to the office.
