Track and Field
Congratulations to all participants. Grade 4 and 5 students competed well in their field events and grade six girls won their 4 by 100 relay in a fast field. Thank you to all the staff who helped with training and running the practices. Thank you to Mr. Parker taking the students to the Track Meet.
There is a race scheduled for Tuesday and social ride for Thursday, weather permitting.
Thank you to Coach Charlie and the Squamish Soccer Association for being at the school for skills development. The students had fun learning.
Scouts Canada is a non-profit organization, aiming to help develop well rounded youth, better prepared for success in the world. 4th Squamish Scout Group’s regular meetings take place at Mamquam School Gym every Thursday evening during school year. They hope more boys and girls aged 5-12 in Squamish can join 4th Squamish Scout Group. They would like to introduce to students about Scouting on Tues at lunch. Scout members learn leadership and different life skills through activities like hiking, craft, Beaver Buggy (building a wooden car), songs and games, nature exploration, preparing emergency plan, etc.
Needles found in the field
Some students have found a capped needle in the field. Please chat with your child about finding strange object such as a needle. Ask them NOT to touch it but alert an adult instead.

1. Meaningful learning involves emotion and motivation.
2. Meaningful learning takes patience and time.
3. Brain systems are actively engaged in narratives about meaning.
4. Meaningful learning can be experienced and demonstrated by all.
5. Brain development is impacted by the environmental setting.
