Caring, Kind, Friendly and Safe…
Dear Parents and Guardians,
School Goals for 2018-2019
If our school community contributes to an inclusive and powerful learning environment, then our students will feel an increased sense of belonging and engagement.
Students will develop as healthy individuals who contribute to the community by taking ownership of their actions and learning.
Terry Fox Assembly and Run
Thank you to Ms Verbeek and the Leadership students for a successful Terry Fox assembly and run. The theme of the assembly was Perseverance. If we raise over $399, Ms Cho and Ms Hain will face the Ice Bucket Challenge L
Mark the date in your calendar! The welcome BBQ is scheduled for Thurs, Sept 20th from 6 pm to 8 pm. The school will provide the hamburgers, hotdogs and veggie burgers. The families are asked to bring a side dish to share. Everyone is welcome! Please bring your own plates and utensils to reduce garbage.

Bear Alert from District of Squamish
This note is to alert the schools in the area of Carson Place that the Discovery Trail at the Alternate Crossing Bridge/behind the Skate Park has been temporarily closed due to bear activity in the vicinity. There is a mother bear and her cubs feeding in the area, and the trail is being closed until further notice to avoid any conflict. The Skate Park hasn’t been closed, but those using the skate park should be aware and use caution. District Operations are installing barriers which will remain until the trail reopens. Signs have also been installed in the area. Thank you, and don’t hesitate to contact our Wildlife Coordinator with any questions – Meg Toom at firstname.lastname@example.org or 604-815-5066.
At school, if you hear 3 short bell sounds, that means that you walk (don’t run) back inside the building.
