Today, and every day, we should recognize and celebrate the women on whose shoulders have helped us to achieve and survive. Let us continue to engage and empower the next generation of women who will be those same shoulders for future generations.

Carlos del Junco

Carlos del Junco is a Cuban Canadian who started to play harmonica at age 14. He is an award-winning harmonica player who specializes in jazz and blues. We are fortunate to host a concert on Mon, Mar 11th at 2 pm.  Families are welcome to join us.  There will be CDs on sale for $20.


If you would like to enjoy a full evening concert starting 7pm on Mon, March 11 the same evening “down the road” in Brunswick Beach (Lion’s Bay)


Multicultural Day

We are looking forward to celebrate our Multicultural Day on Tues, Mar 12th between 1 to 3 pm.  We are asking staff and students to wear traditional regalia if possible.  The finger foods can be dropped off at the office at any time before noon.  There will be cultural activities in the gym run by students and parents.  We thank the staff, students and families for participating.

Business Day

The intermediate students at SQE have created their very own businesses to fundraise for their end of year camping trip to Gambier Island. Come out to our Market Day on Thursday March 14th from 1-3:30pm in the gym. At the market you can find; treats of all kinds, blankets, games, art, photos, greeting cards, soap and much more. Come support our young entrepreneurs. They will be accepting cash only. Families are encouraged to join us.

Common Sense Media

Need some advice on great family friendly movies?  Looking for a good recommendation for educational apps for your child?  Do you just need some advice on how to talk to your kids about internet safety?  The non-profit website Common Sense Media is a great platform for parents get answers to all of these questions about media and many more.   Common Sense Media is a non-profit organization that provides education and advocacy to families to promote safe technology and media for children.


No more hassles with cash or cheque.  We encourage all parents to register for online payments.
