Did you know that 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy lifestyle? For the next 2 weeks, the leadership students at Squamish Elementary are collecting non-perishable food items for our community. As a school, if we collect over 600 non-perishable food items we will cover Mrs. Cho in silly string! Squamish Elementary, please help us We Scare Hunger! Bring your nonperishable food items to school until November 1st. Please place them on the table in the lobby!

Garbage Reduction Week

October 21 to 25 is Garbage Reduction Week.  The Earth Kids are planning a Garbage Reduction Week Challenge to challenge us to make as little waste as possible.  They will be making a daily morning announcement with tips to help us reduce the amount of garbage we make. As well, each class is weighing the garbage produced at the end of the day and recording.  The winning class will be announced at the end of the day Thursday.  On Tuesday, October 29th, the class who produced the least amount of garbage will celebrate with a pizza party.  Thanks for supporting Garbage Reduction Week!
