Caring, Kind, Friendly and Safe…

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Literacy Week

Thank you to all the staff, parents and students who made Literacy Week a great success!  We had a wonderful time at Kindergarten/Grade 1 Story Night and enjoyed seeing so many SQE parents come to read with their students Friday morning.   Please follow the SQE Library on Instagram sqe_library or Twitter @SQE_library to see photos and keep up with all the events in the Library.

Missoula Children’s Theatre

Huge thanks to everyone who made this year’s Missoula Children’s Theatre production, the Tortoise vs. the Hare a success. We received a $2,000 grant from Squamish Community Foundation allowing us to eliminate casting fees this year. We had over 35 parent volunteers!

Book Review Challenge

The Library is having a Book Review Challenge. Complete a Book Review sheet from the Library for every book you read and submit it back to the Library to be entered. You can also complete a review online using Destiny Discover. Tell us what you think of each book and give it a rating out of 5 stars! Each completed Book Review is an entry into a book draw.

In the fall, the Grade 4 students took the provincial Foundation Skills Assessment (FSA). Your child’s assessment booklet and results along with an informational letter will be sent home on Tuesday, January 28th sealed in a large brown envelop. If you have any questions, please feel free to speak to your teacher, Ms. Cho or Ms. Busalacchi.

Gr. 4 Student Learning Survey

The Gr. 4 students have started the Ministry of Education’s Student Learning Survey.  Staff and Parents are invited to take the survey as well.  If you would like to take the survey, please go to after you get the log on # from the office:
