I hope that you and your family have had a wonderful weekend!
As per Ministry of Education’s BC’s Restart Plan, this week, we are planning to move toward Stage 3 of the continuous learning plan starting June 1st. The students will be returning for in-class instruction for 2 days per week as well as continuing with online learning on the other three days. To accommodate the health and safety measures including physical distancing and reducing physical contact, classes will be limited to less than 50% of the normal class enrollment. As well, we will be following strict health and safety protocols including hand washing and disinfecting guidelines. Five days per week school is available for children of essential service workers, students with disabilities/diverse abilities and students who require additional supports. The five days of in-class instruction for essential service workers’ children will start on May 25th who will be supported by the non-enrolling teachers in collaboration with the classroom teachers. We will be in touch with the parents/guardians who are essential service workers this week to confirm the children’s return. The return to in-class instruction is a voluntary choice for the parents/guardians to decide at this time. We will be communicating the details of the return to school plan as soon as we have them finalized as we have to also consider the busing plan. Please refer to the K-12 Education Restart Plan:
This week’s two science videos involve these questions: What is lightning? What is the connection between lightning and thunder? How does can static electricity be produced? How does static electricity affect objects?
We are looking forward to having the children back at school.

We’ve changed a couple of things to allow parents to find resources in “one convenient location”. Here is the link for parents to access informative resources: https://sd48seatosky.org/resources-for-parents-2/
Thank you to the parents/guardians
Some of our staff have made a video to thank the parents and the guardians who are doing a tremendous job supporting the children at home at this time. Please go the link:
