Field trips are an approved portion of the elementary curriculum. The purpose of these trips is to extend the learning environment beyond the classroom and school setting. To ensure that parents have been notified, permission forms will be sent home and returned to school signed by the parent. Students who do not comply with school and classroom rules of conduct may lose their field trip privileges. Should this occur the student is expected to attend school and will be assigned to an alternative classroom for the duration of the field trip. Parents are encouraged to volunteer to help supervise on field trips, but must have a criminal record check on file at the office.
